Discover Mahali Mzuri reimagined
A new chapter for our luxury safari experience in Kenya
Exciting changes are coming to Mahali Mzuri, our luxury tented safari camp in Kenya’s Maasai Mara ecosystem.
Reopening in June 2025, the camp will feature a stunning interior refurbishment of its 12 luxury tents and communal areas, including the dining tent, bar and lounge, and the breathtaking swimming pool overlooking the Great Wildebeest Migration route.

Inspired immersive design
In collaboration with Lynne Hunt London, Mahali Mzuri’s new design concept celebrates a modern interpretation of African style while honouring the local Maasai culture.
- Earthy Elegance: Natural materials and warm, earthy tones blend seamlessly with vibrant splashes of red and black, inspired by traditional Maasai attire
- Artisan Accents: Guests will enjoy a thoughtfully curated collection of contemporary East African artworks
- Iconic Tented Experience: The redesign retains the camp’s iconic tented structures while enhancing comfort and connection to nature

Enhanced Luxury tents
The 12 luxury tents, including a family tent, will offer spacious, open-plan suites with large wraparound windows and private terraces for panoramic views of the conservancy.
Whether you’re soaking in the Kenyan landscape or enjoying a serene moment indoors, the updated design brings the outdoors in for an unforgettable safari experience.

Connect and relax
Mahali Mzuri’s communal spaces have been reimagined for shared experiences and moments of relaxation.
Gather around the open firepit, relax at the bar after an exhilarating game drive or soak up breathtaking views of the valley and the abundant wildlife from the comfort of the updated lounge and dining areas.

Culture and conservation
At Mahali Mzuri, sustainability and community partnerships are at the heart of everything we do.
- Supporting Local Communities: 80% of the camp’s staff are from surrounding Maasai villages, and initiatives like a primary school for 300 pupils have been funded through guest donations
- Eco-Friendly Operations: The camp operates on renewable energy from its solar farm, employs rainwater harvesting systems, and sources fresh produce from its kitchen garden
- Preserving Wildlife: From its inception, Mahali Mzuri has worked with local landowners to protect the migration route and the incredible wildlife that call the Mara home
