Get active
Tennis - Both our floodlit tennis courts can be found just behind the infinity pool. Rackets and balls are available on request, and it’s free to use. You can perfect your serves and swings with a private tennis coach for MAD 1,650 for two people.
Ping pong - Have a hit on our ping pong table, in the gardens next to the tennis courts.
Gym - Hit the gym and work up your appetite. It’s equipped with a running machine, bike, multifunctional weight station and free weights.
Golf
Amelkis Golf Course - This 72-par 6,655 metre course is located outside Marrakech.
Noria Golf Club - This 18-hole, 6,489-meter Par 73 course, also at the base of the Atlas Mountains, features breathtaking panoramic views.
Palmeraie Golf Course - This 72-par 6,345 metre course is located in the Palmeraie. The greens and fairways lie around 7 lakes and the age-old palms that gave the Palmeraie its name.
Royal Golf Course - Located close to Marrakech, with a limit of 4 people per round.
The Montgomerie Marrakech - This 18-hole, 6,230-meter Par 71 course is nestled at the base of the Atlas Mountains near Kasbah Tamadot.
Golf carts, clubs and caddies can be arranged by speaking to the reservations team or reception.
Mountain Biking
Ouirgane Valley Half Day (easy - moderate) - Set off at either 9AM or 10AM from Kasbah Tamadot to Ouirgane Valley by car. Here’s where the mountain bike tour starts, taking you off-road through untouched Berber villages and descending into the heart of the valley to soak up panoramic views of the lake and surrounding wooded foothills. Cycle around the lake and enjoy a well-deserved tea break with locals before transferring back.

Ouirgane Valley Full Day (challenging) - The full day option begins at 9AM from Kasbah Tamadot to Ouirgane Valley by car. Start your adventure cycling on dirt tracks, passing through salt mines and forests to reach Anraz village. Cycle around the lake before ascending towards a small pass known as Tizi Ouzla, later descending to Amizmiz and back up again to Kik Plateau. After a roller-coaster of a ride, take on the additional challenge of cycling back to Kasbah Tamadot, or have our team drop you back.

Ouirgane Valley Full Day (Summer Option) - The full day Summer option begins at 9AM from Kasbah Tamadot, and sets off on bike from the get-go. Cycle towards the mountain on the other side of Ouirgane Valley, crossing through the natural forest and Berber villages within the Toubkal National Park. Stop off for tea in a Berber house and enjoy a chat with the locals. Continue downhill, and you’ll arrive at Tala Marghen, where the driver will be waiting to take you back to Kasbah Tamadot.

High Atlas Treks
Ouirgane Valley (easy) - The Kasbah Tamadot surroundings have some extraordinary wildlife spotting opportunities and fascinating Jewish sites to discover. Alongside a guide, you will be driven through forests of juniper trees to the Amassine Reserve, where you’ll be able to view gazelles, sheep and other flora and fauna that the Atlas has to offer. From there, you’ll trek through small hills to Ouirgane Valley, ending up at the Anraz Jewish Site. Here, in the village of Anraz, you’ll stop for a traditional lunch with the localBerber people. After lunch, you’ll be taken on a walk through olive groves, which will lead you to the wonderful dam in Tassoukt village, where you’ll meet your driver once more for a short drive back to Kasbah Tamadot.

Lunch at Armed (moderate) - Indulge in a traditional Berber lunch while soaking up the magical views of Toubkal Mountain, the highest peak in North Africa. You’ll be driven to Imlil village, where you’ll start your trek, passing through orchards until you reach the village of Armed. Here you’ll be served lunch on a rooftop terrace, taking in the tranquil views of mountain ranges. After lunch, you’ll head back down to join a dirt track leading you to the Imlil Centre for a transfer back to Kasbah Tamadot.

Imsker/Imnane birdwatching (moderate) - Flock with us on a journey to view a great variety of birds, including birds of prey, through the Mizane and Imane valleys. Whilst heading along the stream, you’ll come across birds such as the wagtail, bee-eater, black kite and short-booted eagle. You’ll then stop off for a scenic picnic by the river in the village of Imahen, before passing through the Imsker village, El Bour Pass and Ait Ali, which will lead you back to Kasbah Tamadot.

Anfa trek (challenging) - This trek boasts incredible panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains and the Asni Valley. You’ll follow a marked, gradual climb through a forest of juniper trees until eventually reaching the peak of Asloun, before passing through a dirt track and returning to Kasbah Tamadot.

Aguersioual Pass (challenging) - Begin your journey from Kasbah Tamadot, taking a brief drive through the picturesque valley of Ait Mizane to reach the charming village of Aguersioual. Embark on a circular route from here. Initially, ascend gradually to the Aguersioual Pass, then descend into the scenic Imane Valley, home to several small, authentic villages. Enjoy a relaxing picnic beside the stream before tackling the second steep ascent to the Tamaterte Pass, renowned for its breathtaking vistas of the High Atlas Mountain peaks. Afterwards, meander downhill amidst pine trees to reach the idyllic village of Imlil, where transportation back to Kasbah Tamadot awaits.

Kik walk (challenging) - Explore the culture of an ancient Berber pilgrimage site, followed by a traditional rooftop terrace picnic overlooking scenic landscapes. You’ll start with a drive to the town of Asni, where the Berber pilgrimage site, My Brahim, is located. From thereyou’ll walk a striking route from Imgouzya village to Asseflala village. Heading through Ammas Kikvillage, you’ll stop off for a rooftop terrace picnic in the farmlands of Isgane. After lunch, you’ll trek to Tizi Ouadou, where you’ll join the path to Amassine to meet your driver for a transfer back to Kasbah Tamadot.

Mule Trekking
Discover the beautiful surroundings of the High Atlas Mountains in a uniquely traditional way on a mule trek. Take an hour-long trek to explore nearby villages with their traditional Berber homes. This is a great way to experience the local culture. NB. This activity is offered to guests over 10years old. Kids under the age of 12 years must be accompanied by an adult.

Day Excursions by Car
Tin Mal Mosque and Tizi n’ Test - Explore the historic Tin Mal Mosque, a rare gem open to non-Muslims in Morocco. Dating back to the 12th century, it boasts captivating architecture and rich history. Afterwards, drive along the scenic Tizi n’Test Pass, connecting Taroudant and Marrakech. Journey past ancient Berber villages, orchards, and stunning landscapes. Opt for a café stop or picnic lunch along the way.

Tin Mal Mosque and the Village of Ouirgane - The 12th-century Tin Mal Mosque is among just two mosques in Morocco accessible to non-Muslims. With its stunning architecture and rich history, it’s a captivating sight to behold. After your visit, head back to the village of Ouirgane, where you will enjoy mint tea and pay a visit to a Berber family.

Tadmamte and Ourika Valley - Cross the valley to the opposite bank before taking the Oukaïmeden route that winds its way high above the Tamadant Valley. The scenery is impressive and passes through ancient and isolated mountain villages. From this route, you will enjoy amazing views of the High Atlas, including North Africa’s highest peak, Mount Toubkal. After lunchwind your way down the Ourika Valley, which is characterised by its beautiful scenery of fruit trees, little wooden bridges spanning the river to old houses and the magnificent backdrop of the Atlas Mountains. Please be aware that in heavy rain or snow, the off-road track will be impassable and an alternative route will have to be followed. Please note that the cost of lunch is not included in this tour.

Kik Plateau to Moulay Brahim - Take an off-road drive to view the beautiful Takerkoust Reservoir and the Kik Plateau. You will return to Kasbah Tamadot through the village of Moulay Brahim, which is a local pilgrimage town for Moroccan Muslims, where people come to make prayers for health, fertility, love and happiness.

Cooking at Kasbah
Get a taste for Morocco with Kasbah Tamadot’s cookery lessons. The cookery lessons are hands-on, interactive sessions where our chefs will walk you step-by-step through how to make some of our more popular dishes. Sessions take place in the morning and afternoon and last approximately three hours. Each budding chef will have their own cooking station where they’ll create a delicious three-course meal including salads, soup, taginesand dessert. Then you’ll have the pleasure of eating your culinary delights for dinner that evening for a maximum of 6 people per class. We ask for a minimum of 24 hours’ notice.

Take a visit to the woodwork and weaving centres in the neighbouring villages of Tansghart and Tamgounssi, where you can learn about the current projects over a cup of traditional mint tea.
