What can I do with my toddler(s) in Mallorca?
Gather the buckets and spades for a daytrip to one of Mallorca’s many family friendly beaches. A spectacular 50-minute drive through the Tramuntana Mountains takes you to the charming seaside resort of Port de Soller. Its horseshoe bay offers two beaches with Playa d’en Repic – located furthest away from the working port – the one we would recommend. Quiet with calm, shallow waters, it is a great spot for building sandcastles and water fun in the warm Mediterranean Sea.

I need ideas for kids aged five to 12 in Mallorca.
The rattling vintage train ride from the pretty town of Soller to Palma is a hit with children and parents alike. A journey on The Orange Express – so named because it used to transport Soller’s delicious oranges – takes an hour and runs over viaducts and through no less than 13 tunnels while offering views of the spectacular Mallorcan landscape. Both Soller and Palma are a 40-minute drive from our estate. For a challenging tree-top adventure, head to the Jungle Parc, located a 45-minute drive from Son Bunyola. The park’s Pirates course is suitable for 4- to 12-year-olds and features swings, ziplines, a pirate boat, nets and bridges and is designed to offer hours of fun, expending all that energy. Parents certainly aren’t left out with two challenging courses of their own to conquer. Take to the sea and set sail in search of the dolphins that make the Mediterranean their home for much of the year. Spotting these playful mammals in their natural habitat makes for a wonderful and memorable family outing.

How do I keep my teenagers entertained in Mallorca?
There is plenty to prise teenagers away from their smartphones and ensure they return home with plenty of tales to impress their friends. The island’s tranquil waters are perfect for a day spent kayaking or stand-up paddling – a great way to explore Mallorca’s spectacular coastline and its many hidden caves. The spectacular Tramuntana Mountain range makes for a natural obstacle course, perfect for canyoning – a guided descent via a series of natural water slides, jumps and abseils down the range’s many streams and rivers.

Coasteering is the coastal version of canyoning and is a great option for exploring the island’s remote coasts. Climbing, abseiling, jumping and swimming, it packs in a range of different activities perfect for the adrenaline junkies in the family.
