The Great Migration
Experience Earth’s greatest wildlife spectacle
The Great Migration is the largest herd movement of animals on Earth, involving up to 1.2 million wildebeest and 300,000 zebra as they move across the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem in search of food and water.
An ever-shifting climate and variable rainfall makes predicting their exact schedule challenging, but typically September is your window of opportunity at Mahali Mzuri, which lies right on their migration route.
The Virgin Limited Edition Experience
To get a much closer look, embark on one of two daily game drives at Mahali Mzuri, with experienced field guides to shepherd you to prime viewing locations.
And if you’re not visiting between July and September, don’t worry: the Olare Motorogi Conservancy is also home to around 150,000 Loita wildebeest that choose not to make the migration, and instead settle in the area.
